God's Miraculous Healing

Gnawing, aching stomach pain. Unexplainable. Intensified after eating, with no
real relief for about six days.

Have you ever heard of "The Baptism of The Holy Spirit" or being filled with the Spirit? Me either. Well, not until recently. If you are unfamiliar with the baptism of the Spirit and/or the gifts of the Spirit, I would highly recommend opening up your Bible and doing a study... but don't take my word for it. All I can do is bear witness to the truth. So what does this have to do with stomach pain you might be asking yourself. Everything. Stay with me... it get's good!

So a few weeks ago I was sitting on the couch praying. My belly would not stop aching, and that night was particularly bad. I wanted to give it another day or so before I went to the doctor. Charlton and Wanda (my mother-in-law) were sitting in the kitchen talking, when Charlton said that maybe my stomach pain was brought on by someone needing prayers for healing. At that point I excused myself to go pray in the Spirit. Now, when I say pray in the Spirit, I mean praying in tongues. I have recently received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Everyone's experience does differ, and I believe I received the fullness of the Spirit weeks before I actually spoke in tongues. One night after an amazing time of prayer with Charlton and our friends, I was in bed praying and asked the Lord for the gift of tongues and I spoke in tongues. The only reason that I am sharing this is because God is so awe-inspiring and omniscient. As the Scriptures say, “Let the one who boasts, boast only in the Lord.”

So I went into my tent of meeting a.k.a my closet. Got on my knees and told God that I have no idea who or what I am praying for, but whoever it is please heal their stomach pain. Then I proceeded to pray in the Spirit for about ten minutes. At that point I just felt like I was done. So I got up... and my pain was gone. The next day I spoke with my brother who went to a prayer meeting the night before. He told me that at the meeting everyone laid hands on my niece Hannah and prayed for healing. It so happens that Hannah has been suffering from stomach pain for five years. Almost every time she ate, she would get a terrible stomach ache. Her parents tried desperately to help her. They tried changing her diet, food journals, medications, and seeking answers from doctors and specialists; nothing seemed to help. It was extremely frustrating. The same night she was prayed for, is the night I interceded in tongues for someone with stomach pain... she was healed!

It's been a few weeks now, and her stomach pain is gone. Like I said, all I can do is bear witness to our miraculous God. I truly believe we need to let our everyday aches and pains spur us on to pray for others... who knows what God will do next!
